George and Stephen Jeffreys, are legendary names amongst British Pentecostals. They stand alongside Alexander Boddy, Smith Wigglesworth and a host of others who set Britain aflame with God's gospel of power in the early 20th century. But little is known of Stephen Jeffreys' son, Edward, whom God raised up to spearhead a 2nd wave of signs and wonders ministry in the 1930's. Doubtless influenced in his early years by his father and his uncle George. They worked together in great healing campaigns across the UK and also in USA and Canada. They saw the most amazing scenes of conversions and healings which had never before been witnessed on these shores. In 1926 Edward joined his father in a campaign in Bristol where 1,500 hundred had been converted and many sick had experienced the healing power of Christ. Edward to become the first pastor and 250 were converted in his first meeting! Soon he began taking missions in other places and in 1930 half the year was spent holding evangelistic healing campaigns across the nation. The effects were phenomenal. Tens of thousands came to meetings, conversions and healings abounded and the Bethel Evangelistic Society was born. The 'Bethel Full Gospel Messenger' magazine was launched in 1931 to report these amazing campaigns. This CD contains every edition from 1931-1936. It is fully searcheable as are all our products.
