The John G. Lake Sermons - John G.Lake - eBook
£6.99
The sermons in this volume were preached by Dr.John G. Lake during the height of his ministry.
The editor, Gordon Lindsay, says, 'There is a special reason that I have a very personal interest in them. Early in my preaching career, as I lay apparently dying from ptomaine poisoning, a number of these sermons in typewritten form were brought to me.
I had just strength enough to read a few pages at a time. The powerful truths contained in these sermons slowly sank into my consciousness. Then they came to me with great force. Suddenly I arose from my bed, and instead of dying I found that I was a well man.
Now for the first time, with two or three exceptions, those sermons appear in print, and I trust that they will be an equal blessing to the many who read them.
In making these messages available to the public, I trust that in some measure I have discharged an obligation which I have owed Dr. Lake for the rich legacy of faith that his ministry brought to my soul, during my formative years. Also to his dear wife, Florence Lake, who assisted in my care during the above-mentioned serious illness'
