Days of Blessing in Inland China - Montague Beauchamp
Taylor was one of the missionary giants alongside David Livingstone, William Carey and Adoniram Judson. Converted at 17 in 1849, arriving in Shanghai, March 1, 1854 at age 21. He travelled extensively and courageously throughout China adopting native dress in 1855. He returned to England in 1860 bringing back to Shanghai a party of 16 men to form the China Inland Mission in 1866. I 1881 there were 70 recruits and by 1886, 100. By 1895 they had become the largest missionary body in China.
During his ministry he started 205 mission stations, encouraged 840 missionaries onto the field and saw 125,000 converts. This book records some of his endeavours from 1886.
